Account Security Guide: How to Reset Your Institutional Account Login Password
Whether for routine risk-mitigation updates or emergency overrides due to personnel turnover or forgotten credentials, maintaining control over your login password is critical to your organization's asset security. UMX provides two distinct procedures depending on your current access status:
Scenario 1: Routine Security Updates (Account is Accessible)
If you can currently log into the account, update your credentials via the backend dashboard:
Navigation: Log in and go to "User Center" "Security Center." Locate the "Login Password" row under the "Verification Methods" section (as shown below).
Modification: Click "Manage" on the right, input your current password, and define a strong new password.
MFA Confirmation: Complete the multi-factor authentication (MFA) via your linked email, phone, or authenticator app to apply the changes immediately.
Scenario 2: Password Recovery (Account is Inaccessible)
If you are locked out due to a forgotten password or lost handovers, perform a self-service reset from the login portal:
Initiate Request: Click the "Forgot Password?" link on the main UMX login window.
Identity Verification: Enter the registered email address or phone number associated with your institutional account.
Secure Reset: The system will dispatch a verification code to your secure devices. Once authenticated, you will be prompted to set a new password and restore account access.
⚠️ Institutional Risk Control Notice (Critical)
24-Hour Withdrawal Lock: To protect your corporate funds against potential account takeovers or unauthorized liquidations, all withdrawal functions will be automatically suspended for 24 hours immediately following any successful password reset. Please ensure your treasury and finance teams plan capital allocations accordingly.
Security Lockout Trigger: If multiple verification attempts fail during the recovery process, the account may be temporarily locked by our automated risk engine. Should this occur, please cease further attempts and contact your dedicated Institutional Account Manager immediately for expedited manual verification.
